Kisumu

The bustling port of Kisumu on Lake Victoria is the third largest city in Kenya. The United Nations has recognised it as a key location – with the designation ‘Millennium City’ – one of the first of its kind in the world.

Activities and attractions:-

  • Lakeside viewpoints at Dunga Hill Camp and Hippo Point
  • Impala Sanctuary shelters herds of impalas and zebras
  • Animal orphanage‚ home to wildlife like cheetahs and baboons
  • Kisumu Museum displays artifacts related to the people of the Nyanza Province
  • Ruma National Park has tall cliffs‚ roan antelope and birdlife
  • Rusinga and Mfangano Islands
